I was super lucky enough to receive some gorgeous treats from Kiehl's as a Klout Perk recently and I was so excited to try them out. Wrapped up in a cute little gift box were two beautiful little products; Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate & Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate!
So, what better to do than share them both with you in a dual product review?!
Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate
I'll start with my review of Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate. If you haven't heard of it before, it's a lovely little skincare product designed to help the skin's daytime defence system and reduce the appearance of skin fatigue using a blend of the most gorgeous ingredients. It's a brand new product to go along with the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, which I will come to in a minute.
I've been using the daily reviving concentrate for about 2 and a half weeks now, and it's come at a wonderful time. My body has been detoxing itself as I get back into a healthier routine, after a fair while of indulging in far too many things I shouldn't have over the wedding and honeymoon and also my sleeping patterns have been all over the place so naturally, my skin is looking tired and needs a bit of a boost.
The concentrate of the liquid means you literally need 3-4 drops. Place them on the back of your hand and then use your fingertips to pat the solution evenly across your face. The first thing you will notice is the gorgeous scent. It's so soothing and not as overpowering as I expected it to be. Just lovely!
You will need to let the oil fully soak into the skin before applying your make up, to avoid it sitting on top of an oily base, but once it's all soaked in, it doesn't interfere with your products at all.
I didn't notice results instantly, but after about a week of using the daily reviving concentrate every day I could actually see my skin feeling and looking much fresher and definitely less tired. Now, you'd barely notice I'd had only 3 or 4 hours sleep after using this and some cleverly placed concealer!
Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate is £36 for a 30ml bottle.
Kiehl's Midnight Recover Concentrate
This is one you may have heard of already but in case you haven't I'll tell you about Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate as well! As the inspiration for the daily reviving concentrate, the midnight recovery concentrate is designed to be used just before you go to bed and the pure essential oils work while you are sleeping to repair and replenish the skin for a fresh and youthful look by morning!
Again, the midnight recovery concentrate only needs 3-4 drops and is patted across the face and left to soak in. The essential oils are really quite relaxing and its a lovely scent to take to bed with you, especially, if you're having trouble sleeping.
I started using this at the same time as the daily reviving concentrate and would apply after removing my make up at night and before I hopped into bed. Initially, I was worried about going to bed with greasy, oily skin I usually don't have anything on my skin at night time so I can just let it do it's thing, and I didn't want to suffocate it or wake up feeling super greasy. Neither of those things happened.
The oil soaked in quickly and my skin felt lovely when I got into bed and again in the morning.
The midnight recovery concentrate has really helped draw out the dullness from my skin and I'm really impressed with the results!
Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate is £36 for a 30ml bottle.
I would really recommend using these two as a duo, my skin is definitely thanking me for it. They might be a tad pricey to purchase together from the outset, but as you only need a few drops per day, they 30ml bottles will last a while, making them definitely worth the money!
