Phew! August was a busy month for me, look how many products I used up! Since I finished a lot of my favourite products, and because I haven't done one for a while, I thought it was about time I did an empties post for you!
Because there are 9 products in this empties post, it's a bit of a long one, but hopefully you'll stick with me and you might find something you'd like to try!
First up, I finished my Dr Jart+ V7 balancing toner which I was really sad about. As I said in my review, it really helped calm down things like my acne scars and breakouts as well as keeping my skin looking fresh and healthy. It was a really amazing addition to my skincare routine, so I will definitely be repurchasing the Dr Jart+ V7 balancing toner.
I've also finished my VO5 plump it up dry backcomb spray which is something I've been repurchasing since I first tried it back in June 2014, so it's safe to say I will probably be repurchasing again! I have really naturally flat hair, so anything that promises added volume and actually delivers, which this definitely does as you can see from the results in my original review.
On a similar note, I'm also sad that I've finished my Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume. It looks like I'm going to have to get to the shops pronto or September will end up being a flat hair month! Again, this dry shampoo gives amazing results if you're after a bit of a boost and you can see the results I got from it in my review from February.
This year I've been taking extra special care of my hands and nails ready for all the pictures that would be taken of my sparkly new wedding ring. I like to always keep a hand cream in my bag and my most recent choice was the Soap & Glory Hand Food. It's an absolutely amazing hand cream. I've got one more to use up, but I reckon when I need a new one, it might just have to be this one again!
I picked up the Body Shop Satsuma Shower gel in March when I went a bit mad on my Body Shop haul. Along with the rest of the Satsuma range, it quickly became one my my shower time favourties and apparently also one of my husband's too, because it disappeared pretty quickly! So if we are both a fan of it, then I should definitely buy it again!
I bought the Zoella Beauty Blissful Mistful body mist just as Zoella launched her first range, back in Sept/Oct last year. It's such a soft floral/vanilla scent that it's a nice one to carry round with you if you need a little freshening up during the day, so recently I've been carrying it round with me all the time, which is probably why it's now all disappeared! I always get lovely compliments if I have a little spritz at work!
After all the tanning I did on honeymoon in Mexico, I wanted to make sure I looked after my skin and make sure my teeny tiny tan lasts as long as possible. I did not want it to start drying out and peeling! So I grabbed my Ro's Argan Body Confitioner by Lush and made sure my skin was moisturised to the max, but of course, the more I used it, the less I had and I managed to scrape the last bits out at the end of August until the pot was completely clean. I'm not sure I will be able to find something in my masses of moisturisers that made my skin feel as amazing as this, but I'm going to give it a go and if I can't, I think I'll need a trip to Lush.
The Soap & Glory Clean On Me was a small sample sized shower gel that I got in a little Soap & Glory gift set recently. Obviously, it didn't take long to use up but I definitely enjoyed using it. I'm not so fussy with my shower and bath products and there's only a few things I will repurchase. This one hasn't quite made it onto that list, but I definitely really, really liked it, so I wouldn't say no in the future!
I got this little sample of Beauty Protector 'protect and detangle' leave in conditioner back in my November Birchbox last year. I really enjoyed using it, then ended up buying some new hair products and kind of forgot about it. I found it rolling round in the back of a drawer in August and decided it was a shame to waste it so gave my hair a treat and used it throughout the month. When I reviewed it, I raved about how it really made my hair soft and healthy and I still stand by that. I'm off to go and buy the full version as we speak!
The final empty for August 2015 is my good old faithful Bourjois Paris Happy Light Concealer. This is probably my absolute favourite high street concealer. It's such a bargain and the consistency is perfect for my blemish prone skin and it lasts all day, even when my skin is oily. I'm so sad it has finished! Get me to the shops now.
Phew! Told you it was a long one, but thanks for sticking around! Since I finished up lots of products, I'm probably due a haul pretty soon, so stay tuned for that! Any of these empties on your favourites list? Or are you going to try any of them? Let me know in the comments!
