St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan review

St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan review

As I've said before, I hate all the effort that is required to get the perfect tan. Like, you need to do all the hair removal, exfoliate and moisturise and then you have to wait before you can tan, because you don't want thos awful brown spots. And most of them need to be on for ages to develop, even the gradual tans. And that's why I literally couldn't have run to Boots faster when I heard about the brand new St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan. How on earth could they have developed a tan that gets to work after 3 minutes AND while you're in the shower? HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!

Before I get on with the review, I'm actually giving one of my lucky readers the chance to win themselves their own bottle of St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan to try for themselves. Just click here to enter!

So I followed the instructions and had my shower, then as I neared the end, I switched the water off and applied the creamy lotion to my whole body. Application is super easy, the cream just glides onto the skin and it's very easy to apply to every inch of the body pretty quickly.

Then I needed to leave the lotion on for 3 minutes, which actually seemed like a really long time when you're still wet from the shower. I couldn't wrap myself in a towel for fear of rubbing the lotion off. The first time I just rearranged my bath and shower products for a while and then realised I hadn't actually set a timer so I kind of had to guess.

When it came to removing the tan, it was really easy and came right off in the running water and my skin felt really nice and soft afterwards.

I didn't feel like I'd gained any colour after my shower so was a little bit miffed, but then I went back and read about the product and realised that the tan activates after the shower, so I decided to give it some time.

In the morning, I did think I noticed a slight bronzing, but it wasn't until about day 4 or 5 of daily application that I could definitely see a light tan.

Light is the operative word, so if you are used to your dark tans, this probably won't do it for you, but for those of you who want something really natural, not over the top and easy to add to your daily routine; then the St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan is definitely what you need!

  1. I am really keen to try this as I hate self tanning and the rubbish that comes with it but this sounds like a great option. I don't really want a massive dark tan so it sounds even better on that front :)

  3. This sounds so fab and so much easier than having to balance precariously while faffing about with a tanning mit!

Definitely need to give it go.
