A few Birchboxes ago, I received a lovely little 50ml sample of BiOrganics Hair Therapy Perfect Balance shampoo. I'm always a little dubious about receiving hair products in beauty boxes like Birchbox, because my hair is so fussy and I've only ever found a handful of products that actually work well on it.
My hair has always been long and fine, which makes it very flat. Although it's fine, there's quite a lot of it, which makes it susceptible to becoming very knotty. And to top it off, the roots get greasy very quickly and the ends are very dry. I don't help my case by colouring and using heat on it as well. I know, tell me off later.
My hair has been in severe need of a hair care shake up to try and revive it's quality. This ever changing British weather isn't helping my poor hair either. It's just dying to get that natural Vitamin D from the sunshine.
So, I decided to give the BiOrganics Rebalancing Shampoo a go.
The first thing to note about the BiOrganics range is that they use completely organic products, even suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
BiOrganics say that the rebalancing shampoo helps maintain optimum hair and scalp health, is soothing and calming, great for coloured hair and helps relieve itchy and flaky scalp. It also helps that it smells beautiful, as it's infused with lavender and chamomile. Mmmm!
Directions are pretty straightforward, you just use it the same as you would any other shampoo. A small amount lathers up nicely and it really does help draw any underlying dirt out much better than my usual shampoo. It really made me wonder how much dirt was still floating around in my hair and scalp after washing before... Eurgh!
Once my hair was washed and dried, I noticed immediately that the ends were looking slightly better. IT would take a miracle to completely revive them of their dryness but they definitely looked a bit brighter!
I noticed that, while I was using the BiOrganics shampoo, my hair didn't seem to get as greasy, as quickly as it did, and it looked shinier and cleaner, rather than getting to the end of the day and looking weighed down and lifeless. Like I said before, it hasn't completely reversed my hair problems, but it certainly has started contributing to making them better.
I used up my 50ml bottle in about 5-6 washes, so I think I'll need to invest in a larger size to keep me going longer. Luckily, you can purchase the BiOrganics Rebalancing Shampoo in 3 sizes. The 50ml is only £3.50, so great if you want to give it a go first. The 250ml bottle is £8.50 and there is also a 500ml bottle for £11.95.
So, if you need to revive your hair a little bit, I'd really recommend trying the BiOrganic Hair Therapy Perfect Balance Rebalancing Shampoo!
