DIY Workout Plan: Getting fit with no gym membership

DIY workout plan: getting fit with no gym membership

A couple of years ago I began posting about my journey for the perfect beach body. It’s safe to say I didn’t get to where I want to be and that was my own fault for not sticking at it.

This year, I have even more motive in the form of my wedding and honeymoon.

I’ve designed my own workout plan to do from home, which means I can get fit without buying a gym membership.

My goals are to tone up and improve fitness, so I’m combining sets of different exercises to target different areas. It’s like a mash up of the 30 Day Sit-Up Challenge and the 30 Day Squat Challenge and all the other 30 day challenges merged into one!
I’m starting off slow, just doing 10 reps of each exercise, and building it up as the days go on. I’ll also be having a rest day in between each exercise day, so every other day will be a workout instead of every day because it’s important your body gets rest; especially if it isn’t used to lots of exercise!

Here’s a list of the exercises I will be doing:
I’ve linked each exercise to a video below from YouTube to show you how to do each exercise if you want to join in with me! (I didn’t make these videos, so all credit to the YouTube creator for each of them!)
  1. Push-Ups [proper ones, not girly ones!]
  2. Plank
  3. Glute bridges
  4. Squats
  5. Side Lunges
  6. Squat Jumps
  7. Split Lunge Jumps
  8. Burpees
  9. Mountain Climbs
  10. Tricep Dips
  11. Sit Ups
  12. Russian Twists
  13. Abdominal Leg Raises
  14. HIIT Cardio workout videos
Fitness Blender also have a huge range of free workout videos on YouTube, so I'll be having a go at some of them as well!

If you've been looking for a similar workout routine you can do at home so you don't have to spend money on a gym membership or workout classes, why don't you try it along with me?
