I was tagged by the gorgeous Samantha from Coco Butter Blog (who, coincidentally, is one of my October advertisers!) to do the Autumn Tag, which I thought was a fab idea! I haven't done a tag for so long, and I love Autumn, so I thought I'd give it a go!
As much as I love Summer, I think I actually prefer Autumn. I love the crisp air, and the crunchy leaves and just the whole aura around this time of year. I'm not such a fan of the wind and rain, but that does give me an excuse to stay wrapped up nice and warm in my house watching all my favourite tv shows, which seem to all start at the end of Summer/beginning of Autumn! (X Factor being my favourite!)
So, here we go with the Autumn Tag! Watch out at the bottom of the post in case I have tagged you!
1. Favourite Starbucks drink
Here's one for you. I'm not a huge fan of coffee, and similarly not a massive Starbucks fan. I have been partial to the good old Pumpkin Spiced Latte before, but I am a more regular visitor to Costa and love their hot chocolates. If I'm feeling particularly naughty, I have been known to add whipped cream and marshmallows and even sometimes a flavour. The salted caramel goes particularly well in a hot chocolate!
2. Favourite music to listen to in Autumn
I thought this was a bit of a funny one, because I don't change my music to suit the seasons, it tends to be based on what is released and which artists I've been enjoying recently. If we are going to go with right now, I'm totally in love with Ed Sheerhan's new album, X. I am also waiting with baited breath for the new One Direction album, Four, in November as well as the release of the new McBusted song, Air Guitar, which can only mean one thing; a McBusted album!
3. Autumn scent
I still don't think I've found my Autumn scent for this year. I've been flitting between a few but have't settled. So far I've been loving my Zoella Blissful Mistful body mist, and while it's not a fragrance, it does have a gorgeous smell. I've also been wearing my Library of Fragrance Four Leaf Clover perfume (which I'm currently running a giveaway so you can win one for yourself.) As I mentioned in my review, it is more of a springtime scent on it's own, however, I've discovered if you mix it with a spritz of the Library of Fragrance Fireplace perfume, it's a full blown, comforting, warm, Autumn scent!
4. Favourite Autumn lip product
I have to admit, I don't wear a lot of lip products naturally. I've never been a fan of my teeth, which tends to make me try and draw attention away from my mouth. I did have a gorgeous bronzey coloured Estee Lauder lipstick which I had a bit of a fling with, but I've somehow managed to lose it. I'm hoping it appears in my vast makeup collection somewhere, but I haven't managed to track it down yet! However, I've recently been eyeing up some of the gorgeous, Autumn, vampy colours with berry and plum tones that I've seen loads of bloggers review and I have made it my mission that I'm going to buy a couple one pay day and try them out. Here are the ones currently on my wish list:
On the left is the Lancome L'Absolu Rouge in Pense a Moi and on the right is the Urban Decay Revolutionary Lipstick in F Bomb.
5. What do you love most about Autumn?
I love those sunny Autumn days with a crisp cool air, nice blue skies and pretty orange leaves. I also love that I can get my knitwear and jumpers back out of the wardrobe without people thinking I'm mad, and I love sitting under my blanket on the sofa at night time, with a nice hot chocolate and some good TV!
6. Autumn accessories?
Hmmm it's got to be the scarves hasn't it? I've got my eye on a couple from Accessorize at the moment! This one is my current fave, it's the Winter Rose Border Square scarf which is currently £17! (Was £22).
7. Favourite Halloween Movie
That's a tricky one for me because I am not a fan of scary movies at all. I spend most of the time hiding behind a cushion and I definitely do not like anything with gore in it, much to my fiance's despair. I don't mind ghosty films, with a bit of mystery behind them. One I watched not too long ago was The Conjouring and I have also watched all of the Paranormal Activity films, and while they scared the living daylights out of me, I did enjoy them a little bit!
8. Favourite nail polish?
Hmmm, I tend to still be quite creative with my nails throughout winter and Autumn. I still love the bright colours and pinks etc just as much as I choose my darker colours such as burgundy's, purples etc throughout the summer. At the moment, I'm working my way through my new Models Own nail polishes, which included the Speckled Egg in Dove which is a firm favourite. Today, I'm wearing the Models Own hyper gel polish in white, and I've got a cute little flower water decal on the thumbs, which I got from Sparkly Nails:
9. What are you most looking forward to this Autumn?
I love bonfire night every year, so I'm definitely looking forward to that. Specifically to this year though, I have my Engagement photo shoot coming up which I am really looking forward to. We are having a summer wedding, so I thought it would be nice to have an Autumn engagement shoot (even though we've already been engaged over a year). Fingers crossed that it won't be raining or too windy so we can have some pretty outdoor photos!
I've already treated myself to a lovely salted caramel hot chocolate from Costa this morning, so now I can't wait to get home, pop my PJ's and slippers on and get snuggled under the blanket watching TV. The Apprentice is on tonight too, yay!
I'm now tagging a few other gorgeous bloggers:
