Sparkly Nails Nail Art Studs Review*

Sparkly-Nails nail art studs

I haven't posted any nail art in a while, so when the lovely people from Sparkly-Nails sent me over their 2mm nail art studs in silver, I thought it would be the prime opportunity to create something and give you a little review!

You can create so many cute and simple designs with these nail art studs which is amazing. I have decided to create an alternative french manicure look!

Barry M Gelly nail varnish and Sparkly Nails nail art studs

For this nail art, I have used Barry M's Gelly Hi-Shine nail paint in 'Papaya', which is a gorgeous orangey/coral colour. I'm absolutely loving this colour for spring and have been working it into a lot of my nail art.

To start with, make sure the nail art studs are facing the right way up. This will make it easier to pick them up and apply the right way round.

Paint a good base of the colour onto the nail. When you apply the final layer, work nail by nail to apply the studs.

Using a wooden stick, dampen the end slightly and touch the top of the stud. You should find that it picks up relatively easily.

Transfer the stud from the wooden stick onto the edge of the nail, by pressing gently. If it's not quite in the right place, you can maneuver slightly using the wooden stick.

Line the studs up on the edge of the nail, as if they were the white tip of your french manicure.

Repeat on all nails and then seal with a clear top coat to add a little extra security and a nice shine.

And voila, you should have a lovely alternative french manicure too, it really is that simple. The studs are super easy to use and apply, all you need is a steady hand or a knack for maneuvering studs really quickly before the paint dries!

The studs can be bought from Sparkly-Nails for only £1.99. I applied 45 studs to my nails and still had a few studs left over, so there are plenty in one pack to create all sorts of different designs!

The Barry M Gelly nail polish in Papaya can be bought from Boots for £3.99. If  the papaya colour isn't for you, they have a lovely range of colours for you to choose from!
