How to make your make up last longer in summer

Summer is on it's way! Or so I hear... Ok, so maybe it's not doing long term stints but when it does, you'll want to be prepared for the hotter weather and be ready to make your make up stick around for longer.

It's easy enough to go on with our usual make up regime but it's always good to switch things up depending on the season and when it comes to the summer months I always look for primers, long-wearing products and more creamy items that I know work best in warmer weather.

Using a primer is my first tip and the one that I'd say to definitely go with even if you skip everything else as it'll really make a difference. My go to at the moment is Max Factor's new FaceFinity All Day Primer which was the one makeup artists begged to be retracted for their FaceFinity foundation as they loved the primer element so much. It's probably the best I've tried in a very long time, my makeup sticks around it's not greasy nor is it too matte - it just does exactly what you want.

How to Find the Perfect Foundation

Finding the perfect foundation

Have you ever bought a foundation after a recommendation from a blogger or friend, got home and just can’t get it to work for you? How about finding your perfect shade in one brand, but never being able to find it again? Or perhaps you just can’t find the god damn shade in the first place!

Finding the best foundation is not an easy task. It’s not just the colour you need to take into consideration, you also need to think about your skin type, the reason you are wearing it and so much more.

Everybody’s perfect foundation is not the same, so I can’t promise that after this post you will know exactly which one to buy, but, you hopefully will have a good idea about how to go about finding it!

First things first, why do you need it?

Are you using the foundation to add evenness to the skin tone, or maybe you need something more heavy duty to help cover spots or scars? Maybe you’ve been out in the sun and now your the colour of your face isn’t matching the rest of you!

How to get Longer Hair; Hair Growth Tips

How to get longer hair

I've made some major changes in my hair routine over the past few months and coincidently, noticed a huge amount of growth, which is fantastic. For my upcoming wedding, I am desperate to have a gorgeous long wedding hair style and was seriously considering extensions before I noticed that, in fact, my hair is getting there all by itself!

I read so many articles about stimulating hair growth, and how to get long hair fast, but I never believed in any of these tips and tricks before. I used to think that my hair wasn't growing because it simply had got to the length is was capable of growing to. Clearly, this was not the case!

Here are a few of my hair growth tips, I hope they are helpful!

Get it cut

It seems like silly logic. Why would you cut something shorter if you want it to get longer?

How to Prepare your Nails for the Perfect Manicure

Perfect manicure

Preparing your nails is one of the most crucial parts of a manicure, but usually when we are doing our nails at home, we miss out this whole part of process. You can spend ages filing and picking the perfect base coat, colour and top coat, but I can guarantee you that your nails will look so much better if you prepare them properly.

You might think that you can only get this preparation process by going to your local nail bar or salon, but it is so easy to do at home, that I thought I would share my nail preparation tips with you.

Preparing the nails not only makes your manicure look better and last longer, but it can also improve the quality of your nails, but also keep your nails and hands looking gorgeous and healthy, even without polish!

Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff Review

Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff
As much as I love tanning, I do not enjoy the patchy stages you sometimes end up with when you are trying to remove tan. No matter how well you have prepped your skin or how well you have looked after your tan, sometimes those stubborn bits just fancy sticking around and are such a pain to remove! If you apply more tan over the top, they just end up darker, and then you are in for one almighty patchy tan!

If you read one of my recent posts, you will know that I went to the Cocoa Brown Spring/Summer 14 product launch in London. While I was there, the lovely ladies let me know all about Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff and promised me it would remove my old tan AND give me a great base for my new tan. Sounds dreamy.

There are plenty of decent exfoliators about, but Cocoa Brown's Tough Stuff is designed as a 'no nonsense, 3 in 1 scrub that prepares your skin for tanning, removes stubborn tan and is a fabulous exfoliating body treatment.'

Currently, I am rocking a pretty patchy tan, which seems to be worse around my neck and chest area. Bloody fantastic... So let's give this bad boy a go!

McBusted Tour 2014
If I asked you to pick a time from your childhood or teenage years that you will never forget and you look back and wish you could do it all over again? Maybe you had an amazing summer with your best friends where you spent the whole time together doing crazy things? Maybe you took part in something that you really enjoyed?

For me, mine is a little different to most people I speak to. If I look back at my teenage years there is one thing that sticks out. I spent all my spare time and money doing this, I made some amazing friends and created some amazing memories by doing this. The reason I got my first job was so I could afford to do this more often.

As sad as this may seem to a lot of you, and I don't think I ever cared if people wanted to judge me for it, because I had more fun that I can even express in words.

Busted CD singles
Back in 2002, I was 13 years old absolutely in love with Busted. I spent an awful lot of time online on their forums, chatting to other Busted fans and listening to their music.

I used to go into Woolworths and pre-order their singles on CD (or even tape, as you can see from my picture!).

This was the time when bands used to release 3 or 4 different versions of their singles, with different bonus tracks. I would always order all of the versions; after all, I didn't want to miss ANY bonus track.

You can create so many cute and simple designs with these nail art studs which is amazing. I have decided to create an alternative french manicure look!

Guide London Clothing*

Guide London Clothing
My fiance is one of those lads who loves to shop, which is an absolute bonus for me! He tends to be right on trend and sometimes even I get a little bit jealous of his wardrobe!

We recently discovered Guide London Clothing, which is no good for me as it is menswear, but their shirts and other clothes look fantastic and I wanted to share with you guys in case your other half/brother/best boy mate wanted to revamp their wardrobe, or if you wanted to treat them!

If you fancy a bit of a history lesson, Guide London Clothing was set up by Isaac Benson. Originally, Benson was trading under the name of BRUTE which began 1973. In 1988, BRUTE moved over to being more of the wholesaler, and Guide London Clothing took over as the retailer. Now, Guide London Clothing has placed itself as the 'total-look' retailer, stocking different kinds of shirts from casual to smart and tshirts to wasitcoats and jackets. They also sell trousers and accessories such as underwear, belts and wallets.

Their entire website has just undergone a huge revamp and is now super easy to use and everything looks so stylish.

Cocoa Brown Spring/Summer 2014 Product Launch

Cocoa Brown tan

The lovely ladies from Cocoa Brown invited me to the launch of their spring/summer 2014 product range which happened last week in the very swanky Park Plaza Hotel in London.

I was very excited about attending the launch, not only because I absolutely love Cocoa Brown, but also because I rarely get to attend blogger events as they don't tend to happen in my area, which is just outside of Bath (in case you wondered... It's very lovely around here). As well as that, they all tend to be on week days and as I work full time, it's usually impossible for me to get to London to attend. It was just on the off chance that I was actually already going to be in London that day, that I managed to pop along!

When I arrived, I was greeted by the very smiley and lovely Vicky from CAN PR who swiftly introduced me to Stephanie from Cocoa Brown. After grabbing myself a drink and tucking in to some of the lovely treats Cocoa Brown had put on, Stephanie and I sat down and had a little chat about the new products for spring/summer 2014 and soon afterwards, Marissa Carter, joined us. These two ladies are just like gorgeous little tanned dolls. Absolutely stunning and two of the nicest ladies I have ever met!

Now, I have been a fan of Cocoa Brown for a while so I already knew quite a bit about the existing range and the brand itself, but for those of you who don't, here is a little bit of background info.
