Montagne Jeunesse are probably my favourite face mask brand. They are great value for money, have a huge selection to choose from. I've previously reviewed the Apricot Scrub face mask from their range and it was an absolute dream!
So this time, I decided to review the Montagne Jeunesse Hot Chocolate face mask, which has a hint of orange, making it basically a melted Terry's chocolate orange that you can wipe all over your face! Not only that, but it's self heating. It just gets better..!
Montagne Jeunesse says:
"Take a deep breath of our self-warming chocolate orange masque and you'll be in chocolate heaven! Mediterranean Clay cleanses dirt and oils from deep within pores. Rich dark chocolate and orange oil leaves skin soft and refreshed"
This face mask actually looks and smells like melted chocolate. It does make it difficult to adhere to the 'not for consumption' rule slapped on the back of it. Might be advisable to keep away from children because they won't be able to tell the difference! (I definitely struggled...)
I won't lie, this one got a bit messy! It's a bit runnier than the previous Montagne Jeunesse masks I have tried. I did end up getting it aaaallll over the sink. On a positive note, it cleans up super easily.
Afterwards, I kind of looked like I had just planted my face in a mud puddle!
As for the self-heating, what an absolute dream!
As soon as I started applying it, my face started warming up and stayed nice and toasty, the whole time. Mmmmmmm!
Removal was nice and easy too. I didn't find myself with bits of face mask left all over for hours after I had actually used it, which is a bonus! I also didn't have to scrub too hard to get it off and I'm sure my skin appreciated this!
My skin looked so fresh and clear after removing the mask. My pores had been opened and completely deep cleansed. My face as really soft and smooth to touch. It was absolutely brilliant!
Top marks for experience and top marks for results!
