Alway one for a defined eye, I team my false eyelashes with a smokey eye, or just a sleek line of liquid eyeliner on the top lid.
So far, I'm not so loyal to false eyelash brands. I want to try them all so always end up picking a different pair. Sometimes I regret it, sometimes I relish in my spontaneity and flutter my lashes for all to see how good at selecting fake lashes I really am.
Back to the case in hand, these Eye Candy 50s style lashes were definitely an impulse buy, and also a spontaneous one, but you can probably tell by the fact I am reviewing them, that it was a good selection, and I was pleased with them! Here's why:
What Eye Candy says:
"Eye Candy 50's style Volumise 004 false eyelashes are designed to add sensuous volume to your eyes, providing a thicker, fuller lash appearance. Ideal for a glamorous evening look, they plump up and emphasise for sensuous and sexy lashes that are reminiscent of the chic and glamorous 1950s!"
The lashes look lovely in their packaging. I was hoping they would give me the perfect balance of definition and volume without going too over the top. I don't with too much going on, or making my eyes look to small and dark!
These lashes are really simple to apply. Just peel the strips from the packet, apply the glue and pop onto your eyes! The glue is fantastic, after you give it a few minutes to become tacky, apply and then allow a minute or so for it to set, it really does hold. I didn't have any problems with corners peeling off or lashes feeling loose at all!
Super pleased with the finish of these lashes. They aren't too full on, but give the perfect amount of extra volume and definition I like to create on a night out.
Value for money
I actually picked these lashes up for only £4.00 including the glue, from Sainsbury's of all places, so for some beautifully defined and volumised lashes, take a trip to the great orange super market and grab a pair for yourself!
