Benefit Stay, Don't Stray Primer Review

Benefit 'Stay, Don't Stray' primer

I’m really loving Benefit products at the moment. You might remember I reviewed a cute little sample of the ‘Benefit Triple Performing Facial Emulsion’ not so long ago, which I did then go on to buy because I loved it so much!
My lovely friend gave me a little sample that she managed to get her hand on, of the Benefit Stay, don’t stray primer, which came in a cute little bottle and I was really excited to try and tell you all about it.

Benefit say:
“This dual action power primer works 360° around the eyes to make concealers and eyeshadows stay put. Concealers don’t crease, eyeshadows stay vibrant and true... you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.”

Product

The product itself isn’t too thick which is quite nice. I couldn’t think of anything worse than something that was really thick or clumpy sitting on top of your eyes all day. It’s easy to blend across your eyes in blends nicely at the edges into your foundation.

Application
The little sample I have has a cute little applicator with it, but I think you can also buy it as a full size with a pump. I quite like the applicator in this little bottle; however it is much easier to apply and blend with your fingers, which is why the pump looks like it will work really well.

As I said before, it glides across the eyelids really easily with your fingers for a no fuss, minimal mess application.

Finish
DollfaceBlogs | Beauty blog | Benefit 'Stay, Don't Stray' primer review Normally, I will use concealer on my eyelids as mine can be quite red, patchy and a little bit veiny sometimes, (which sounds really attractive...). I actually found that after applying the benefit ‘Stay, don’t stray’ primer on my eyelids, I had no need or any additional concealer as it covered the eyelid perfectly, creating an even tone and a matte finish, giving a great base for applying eye makeup.

It also dries really quickly, so you don’t have to sit for ages waiting before carrying on with the rest of your make up routine.

I tend to find, on a normal day, that by about midday, my eyeshadow tends to start fading or creasing and in some case, disappearing! I didn’t find this at all with this primer, in fact, when I’m wearing it, I don’t even feel the need to check my eye makeup anymore, because I know it will still be going strong!

Price
The Benefit Stay Don't Stray primer is just £20.50 in House of Fraser.

    1. Ooh I think primers are an absolute must for makeup. Not only do they help your makeup stay put and look much more radiant, they actually add an extra layer of protection.

The £20 bottle would last absolutely ages a you don't need a huge amount of product but if you are looking at trying one out and want to start out a little cheaper then take a look at the NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer from Superdrug, which was less than £5 I think. That was the first primer I ever tried out and now I wouldn't go back to putting makeup on without one :)
