Even though it's winter, I like to keep my legs smooth and hairless so my skin still feels soft, and around this time of year I certainly don't have the spare cash to be visiting the salon for regular waxing, nor can I be bothered to do it myself, so I usually revert to razors.
Razors can always be a little hit and miss. The good ones are really great but can sometimes cost an arm and a leg to replace blades when you need to and the affordable ones don't always do the best job.
Well, what if I told you that I had found an affordable razor, with affordable replacement blades and it did an amazing job? The Wilkinson Sword Intuition Naturals Sensitive Care Razor (a bit of a mouthful, I know!) is leaps and bounds ahead of any razor I have tried before!
The best thing about this razor is the soap capsule around the razor blade! Filled with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E, this soap lathers up as you start shaving, so you don't need any additional bubbles or anything, and it moisturises the skin as it goes.
The blade deteriorates at the same rate as the soap which is great. I have been using my first blade regularly for around 5 weeks now and it is only just getting to the point where the soap isn't really having the same effect as its first use, but also the blade needs changing now as well, so it's great timing.
After using this razor, my skin has never felt so smooth and soft. It even works great on short hairs.
The razor itself is quite bulky, but I actually found this a positive because you can get a decent grip on it with wet hands.
The 4 blades allow you to get a close shave and it has some flexibility to maneuver and avoid snagging the skin.
The Wilkinson Sword Intuition Naturals Sensitive Care razor is £6.49 from Superdrug! and comes with the razor, one blade with the soap capsule attached and a neat little holder with a sucker pad to attach to your shower screen or wall! The blades come in packs of 3 also from Boots for £6.79.
