Alphabet Challenge - P - Pre-glued lashes
Now here's a product I never thought I would try out... Eylure Pre-glued lashes. I have quite nice natural lashes, but I'm always after enhancing them. If you missed it, I posted about taking care of eyelashes as part of my Alphabet Challenge, earlier this month!
I've never trusted them... I prefer to stick them on myself and then I knew they are secure and I know how long my glue is going to last or how far I can push it!
However, after the lovely people at Glossybox sent these to me in my September Glossybox - The London Edition, I thought it would be rude not to try them at least.
I took the opportunity at my fiance's sister's 21st birthday last weekend. I knew it wouldn't be a mad night full of dancing, but I did know it would be a late one, so I thought that would be the perfect time to test these lashes out!
First point to note is you would apply them as per normal strip eyelashes, just miss out the step where you apply the glue - because they have already done that for you!
I applied a thin line of eyeliner along the top lashline, using the Be a Bombshell Onyx Eyeliner I reviewed yesterday, which also came in my September Glossybox!
The application process was quite easy actually. The fact they were pre-glued made it a less stressful experience! I didn't end up with glue all over my fingers or tweezers at any point so was able to just apply and go!
Here's what they looked like:
Definitely liked the look of these lashes! They were also a great fit for my eye without needing to cut them down.
The pre-glued eyelashes lasted the majority of the evening, which involved a lovely meal out at Zizzi's in Cheltenham followed by some bar hopping! They did start to peel away very slightly in the corners of my eye towards the end of the night, but nothing noticeable or irritating. I only noticed when I went to inspect and stared at them in the mirror for about 5 minute, apparently nobody else noticed!
The one thing I don't like is that after one use, the glue idn't strong enough to reapply. I usually like to get at least 3 uses from false eyelashes before debating whether to get new ones. The lashes are still in good enough condition to apply using normal eyelash glue though, as long as you don't cake them in mascara that is!
Have you tried pre-glued lashes before? What do you think in comparison to normal false lashes?
If you liked this post, why don't you follow me to keep up to date?
