Sleek MakeUP Pout Paint Review and Swatches

Sleek pout paint
Time for another July Glossybox product review. This time I am taking a look at Pout Paint by Sleek MakeUp.

The idea with these lip paints, is that you can wear each colour individually, but also, mix together to create fab new colours that have exactly the same impact and staying power!

Sounds like mixing and matching will be fun!

In my July Glossybox, I was given 2 out of the 11 pout paints available.

Here is a swatch of both next to each other:

Sleek pout paints - mauve and minx swatches

Let's start with Minx by it self. Minx is the top colour in the swatch picture.

It looks a little pinky/orangey in the tube, but on the lips it's actually a really nice nude, glossy colour, which is perfect for a day look!

Next up, Mauve over:

Wow, what a purple. You can imagine my face when I saw this. My initial thought was that I would not be wearing this by itself, however I was pleasantly surprised that it actually didn't look too bad! I actually think I would dare to wear this one on a night out with an outfit in similar bold, block colours!

Finally, it's time to mix! I popped the two colours on a palette and mixed with a lipgloss brush. I added a little more of 'Minx' than 'Mauve Over', but only by a fraction.

The two together give you a really girly pink shade, which is stunning!

So in these two tubes, I have a wild part colour, a casual day colour and a girly pink colour! Amazing!

Lasting power is great as well. The Mauve over alone is has a more matte finish than the others, which are more glossy. But all together, it is a fab idea for a colour and I really want to get my hands on the other colours so I can play mix and match and create more colours!

If you pop over to the Pout Pain page on Sleek MakeUp's website, you can see swatches of all 11 colours on different skin tones, which is an amazing idea! Unfortunately you can't see what they are like mixed together, but I guess they are saving that fun for us!

Each tube is £4.99, so not a bad price either!

Did you get any Pout Paint's in your July Glossybox, or did you own any before? What colours have you made?!

    1. I was surprised by it! When I saw it in the tube I thought I would hate it and it wouldn't suit me, but it's actually lovely!

  2. These are so great because you can get a huge spectrum of colours depending on how much of each you use, If you used a tiny amount of the nude to the purple it would go slightly pinker, then you can keep adding intensity! Such a good idea! Will be running out to get some of these soon methinks :)
