Aveda Invati Exfoliating Shampoo & Thickening Conditioner Review

Aveda Invati Exfoliating Shampoo & Thickening Conditioner

The Aveda Invati Exfoliating Shampoo & Thickening Conditioner is developed for thinning hair. They boast that, based on daily usage, it "is proven to reduce hair loss due to breakage to help you keep the hair you have longer".

The full system includes exfoliating shampoo, thickening conditioner and a scalp revitaliser, which unfortunately isn't included in the sample pack.

Aveda Invati Exfoliating Shampoo & Thickening Conditioner

I have quite thin hair so love trying out products that claim they can help improve the quality and thicken it up.

The exfoliating shampoo claims to remove build up that can clog pores and renews the scalp. You have pores on your scalp, just as much as on your face, the more build up on your scalp then the more difficult it will be for your hair to grow through healthily. You may think that when you shampoo normally, that you are removing that build up, and believe me, I thought the same... until I used this shampoo!

Aveda Invati Exfoliating Shampoo

I thought that I would use my normal shampoo first, to get my hair as clean as it normally would be. I then used the Aveda Invati exfoliating shampoo. I was in  bath of clear water so anything being removed from my hair would be blatantly obvious.. And it was!! I had already washed with shampoo once, and the water was left relatively clear bar a few shampoo bubbles. After using the Aveda shampoo immediately after the water went a murky grey colour... It really did clear more dirt and build up from my hair and scalp than my normal shampoo. The thought that usually I wouldn't have got rid of it all really grossed me out!

I used the thickening conditioner straight afterwards. There wasn't enough in the sample bottle to cover all of my hair, so I did have to mix in a little of my regular conditioner, but it was only a small amount.

I always leave my conditioner on my hair for about 5 minutes before washing off, so I did the same with this one.

I really noticed that is has a gorgeous smell, it smelt very natural and fresh. It is absolutely beautiful!

After washing it out and fully drying my hair. It was much shinier and smoother than normal. It seemed to hold it's style throughout the day much better and really did look fuller.

Obviously for best results, you would need to continue using the product daily, and these samples didn't allow that right now. From what I have already seen, I am really impressed and do have faith that it might actually do what it says on the bottle!

I am seriously considering purchasing the full products. Bought as a pair, you can get them for £46.50

I would recommend heading to your local salon to see if they are offering the samples and try them out for yourself. You won't be disappointed!
