I don't really do fragrance reviews as no matter how good with words you are, it can be difficult to really portray what it smells like. However, when I received the Yves Rocher So Elixer Purple fragrance in my April Glossybox, I couldn't wait to tell you about it!
My sample was a small 5ml bottle, but even in it's tiny form, the bottle was lovely. Very smooth and sleek!
Let's get to the smell.
The packaging says; "Reveal your seductive power with an incredibly femenine, floral-woody elixer."
At first sniff, it does have a floral-woody aroma, very reminiscent of spring, which is totally fitted with the 'Spring Fever' theme of this month's Glossybox.
Going back to the original description, I don't think I would describe it as seductive. It's not an overly powerful smell, more light and refreshing. On the other hand, I think it is very feminine.
I do think the So Elixer Purple fragrance is lovely and I am going to enjoy using my sample, but at around £44 for a full sized bottle, I'm not sure I will be investing in the full product.
Why don't you pop to your local perfume counter and have a smell of the Yves Rocher So Elixer Purple perfume? Let me know what you think!
