April Celeb LOTM - Lauren Pope of TOWIE

April Celeb LOTM - Lauren Pope of TOWIE on Dollface Blogs

Lauren Pope is one of the stars of The Only Way is Essex. Since the show took off, the Essex glam look has never been more popular! Eyelashes, preened brows, manicures and the all-important glowing tan is an increasingly popular look so I decided to give you a quick tutorial on how to get the Essex Glam look a-la Lauren Pope!

Lauren Pope
Lauren tends to go for a statement eye, bronzed complexion and pink or nude lip when it comes to her make up.

To get her look I used:
Strip false lashes
A white/grey/black eye shadow palette
Liquid & pencil eyeliner
Nude Lipgloss
Mascara
Matte compact powder
Bronzer

To start with, I applied my foundation as normal. As I have a light layer of tan (not quite as dark as your traditional Essex look), I have gone for a foundation that is slightly darker than my day to day one, just so my face doesn’t look pale against my tan.

I started by applying a thin line of liquid eye liner to the top lash line. This will be the line I apply the false lashes to.

I curled my natural lashes and then glued the strip lashes on using tweezers and making sure they were as close to my natural lashes as possible.

I then decided to go for a dark smokey eye look. The colours I have used for this look are much darker than those I used in my tutorial. I chose a white/shimmer for my first colour, metallic grey for the second, and a very dark impact black for the final colour. If you follow the tutorial with these colours you will be able to achieve the look as well!

I finished the eye by applying mascara and eyeliner as normal.

For the rest of the face, I applied a very generous layer of bronzer to my whole face, then added a little more to my cheekbones to draw attention to them.

Finished with a little bit of pink/nude lipgloss and viola!

For the hair I curled all of my hair, making sure the hair curled away from the face. I used a small bit of hairspray, then brushed the curls out and applied an anti-frizz serum and more hairspray to seal the look.

Team this look with your best bodycon dress, monster heels and clutch bag along with some chunky accessories and you are ready to rock your best Essex glam look, just like Lauren Pope!

Are you a fan of the Essex Glam/Lauren Pope look, send me your pics so I can see how you do it!
